Based in Glasgow, Scotland, One Route is an international marketing agency led by passionate marketing specialists in advertising and communications.

In 2020, One Route begun as an online hub for small businesses to promote their products/services and develop their relationships with others in their niche. Through running a small business himself, Ryan Muir noticed a severe lack of community within the second-hand clothing industry and a general misunderstanding of how to connect and communicate with customers. Therefore, Ryan created One Route.

Over the next year, the One Route community developed and inter-company relationships thrived. However, the small businesses of One Route were failing to build enduring and meaningful connections with customers. At this point, Ryan understood that marketing is a complex and layered subject which requires quality knowledge. Therefore, he sought further education in at GCU to develop his marketing knowledge and scope of specialisation. With this knowledge, Ryan begun to offer specialised social media marketing and management services for those engaging with One Route.

Throughout the next four years, Ryan continued to transfer his knowledge into abilities within the small businesses of One Route and those created through the GCU Entrepreneurial Hub for small businesses. Over this time, Ryan became adept at marketing and as his expertise grew, so did his vision: no longer was One Route just to be a stepping stone, he wanted to make One Route the only route.

At this point, many of the small businesses within the One Route community had progressed into new entities or satisfied their goals and left. So, reignited with a new purpose, Ryan made the decision to turn One Route into a marketing agency to provide what Ryan found businesses needed most: consumer connection.

Now, we’re ran by a team of marketing specialists that are passionate about achieving One Route’s vision. One Route has always been about providing opportunity and we pride ourselves on having the continued ability to do so. Every One Route client gets treat like they’re our first and last, equally important and equally special. We have a lot of work left to do, but in the position we’re in today, we truly believe that One Route is on track to become the only route.
